If the light responds when you draw but nothing comes out, the device is firing and the problem is between the coil and your mouth โ not the battery. That narrows it to four things: a dry or dead coil, a blocked airway, a pod not seated, or a draw too gentle to trigger the sensor.
If the device is brand new
The likeliest cause is a coil that was never primed. A new coil is bone dry; it needs five to ten minutes standing with liquid in the pod before the first draw. Vaping it dry burns the wick permanently, and a burnt wick produces very little vapour and a nasty taste.

If it worked yesterday
- Reseat the pod. Pull it out and click it back firmly. Magnetic pods drift loose in a pocket.
- Wipe the contacts. A dry cotton bud on the metal pads of both pod and battery. Condensation there is the most common cause of a device that fires but doesn't deliver.
- Check the liquid level. Below the coil window means the wick is starving. Refill and wait a few minutes.
- Draw more firmly. Draw-activated sensors need a certain airflow to trigger โ too soft and nothing happens.
If it gurgles or tastes wet but produces nothing
That's a flooded coil, not a dead one. Too much liquid has reached the coil and it can't vaporise it. Take the pod out, wipe the airway with a rolled tissue corner, leave it upright for ten minutes, then draw gently.

When it's simply the coil
Coils are consumable and last roughly one to two weeks of regular use. The end is gradual: vapour thins, flavour dulls, and eventually a fresh fill doesn't help.
Replace with a coil 2-pack if the pod body is sound, or a complete refillable pod 2-pack if it's been in service a while.
If nothing happens at all
No light, no vapour, no response means power rather than delivery. Charge it over USB-C for an hour. If the charging indicator never appears, try a different cable and port before concluding the device has failed โ cables fail far more often than devices.
