Strength is printed on every product, in mg or as a percentage (5% is 50mg/ml). Check it before you buy.

What you'll keep buying
A disposable is a single purchase: when it runs out, you replace the whole device. A refillable pod system costs more up front, and after that you buy e-liquid and replacement pods or coils as you go.
Pouches come in cans. ZYN is sold in rolls of 5.

Venues, workplaces and transport operators set their own rules on vaping and nicotine products, so check before you use yours.

Option 1/3: Disposable Vapes
These are ideal for those who want to try vaping without committing to a pod system device.
Disposable vapes come pre-filled with e-liquid and can be used straight out of the box.
Once the e-liquid runs out, you simply dispose of the device and get another.

Option 2/3: Refillable Pod Systems
Pod systems are reusable: you keep the device and replace the pods (and, on some devices, the coils) as you go.
Pod systems come in two types: closed (prefilled disposable pod) and open pod (refillable pods) systems.

Nicotine pouches are small pouches you place between your lip and gum. There's no device, no vapour and nothing to charge.
They come in different strengths, printed on every can in mg. New to pouches? Start at the low end.

Most disposable vapes in South Africa are only available in 50mg/ml of Nicotine Salts, this is sometimes indicated using a percentage (e.g. 5%).
We do however have lower nicotine options.

In general, disposable vapes will indicate what is called a "Puff Count". This is the amount of puffs you can expect from a given disposable vape.
In our experience, these are grossly overexaggerated. Your best bet to understand how many puffs you can expect from a given disposable vape is to look at the millilitres of e-liquid that come in it. This can usually be found under the Specifications tab on the product page.
As a rough guide, 1ml of e-liquid gives about 260 puffs at a typical draw (our estimate).

There are a few key differences, in general closed-pod systems (aka Prefilled Disposable Pod Systems) are more convenient whereas open-pod systems (aka Refillable E-Liquid Pod Systems) offer more variety in terms of e-liquids and nicotine strengths.

The main difference is how you fill them with e-liquid. Closed-pod systems (Prefilled Disposable Pods) come pre-filled, so when a pod runs out you simply click in a fresh one with no refilling or mess. They're the convenient, grab-and-go option.
Open-pod systems (Refillable Pods) use empty pods that you fill yourself with any e-liquid. They work out cheaper per ml and give you far more freedom over flavour and nicotine strength, in exchange for a little more hands-on care.
In short: closed-pod for maximum convenience, open-pod for the best value and variety.

For the Refillable E-Liquid Pod Systems, you will generally need to purchase replacement refillable pod and for some systems, coils.
In general, a refillable pod with a built-in coil or a coil just by itself works optimally for about 15ml of e-liquid. However, with good care this can be extended.
Good care entails always keeping the e-liquid above the minimum line or visible cotton on the coil and letting the juice sit for at least 10 minutes to soak after refills.
